Designer Chelsea Skye-Netter Takes Us Inside the Design Vignettes at KBIS ’24
We spoke to designer Chelsea Skye-Netter about her Pfister faucets design vignette featuring the Native Trails Amara sink from our Precious Metals Collection, as well as the mudroom vignette she worked on with fellow Nashville designer Evan Millárd.
Each year kitchen and bath companies flock to KBIS to debut their new collections, and Native Trails is no exception. This year, we brought our new Winemaker Series and NativeStone finish, Ocean, to Vegas with us. We also partnered with Pfister Faucets to help them bring their new faucet collections to life with a panel of interior designers who each tackled a high-end design vignette, pairing Native Trails sinks with Pfister faucets and other luxe finishes from Walker Zanger and others.
Nashville-based interior designer Chelsea Skye-Netter of Chelsea Skye Interiors was among the four participating designers. We spoke to her about her vignette featuring the Amara sink from our Precious Metals collection, as well as the mudroom vignette she worked on with fellow Nashville designer Evan Millárd. To learn how they used a NativeStone Ventana sink in a mudroom-slash-dog-room, read on!
Tell us about working with Native Trails to create these captivating installs for KBIS.
Last fall, Pfister asked me and three incredibly talented designers to design vignettes around four fantastic plumbing collections to be displayed at their KBIS showroom. Evan Millárd, one of the other designers who worked on this project, is one of my best friends. We went to O’More College of Design together. He’s the best. He introduced me to Madeline DiPiano, who is Pfister’s business development manager. We all go to events and network all the time. This idea for the KBIS partnership came up, and Native Trails was recommended. I’ve worked with you guys on projects before. I love your brand.
Which of our products have you used before, and why have you been drawn to them?
I’ve used the Trough 3619 in a powder room, and I’ve spec’d the Ventana sink in bars a few times and just absolutely love it. I’ve used the NativeStone Earth finish two or three times. That’s my favorite finish. It looks so good with warm and cool tones. It looks good with everything!

How did your powder room contribution come to life?
The faucet I chose was from Pfister’s new Winter Park collection that they were debuting at KBIS, and I loved how traditional and modern it was at the same time, and I knew I wanted to do something moody yet neutral. Then I found this pearlized wallpaper from Cole & Son that I really love. Y’all sent me a box of all of your samples, and I was like, “Oh my gosh, the Precious Metals Collection is so perfect.” When I pulled your Platinum finish out next to my wallpaper, it was a perfect match. I knew it could be so dope.
You also worked on an epic mudroom-slash-dog-room with Evan Millárd. That striped tile is divine. How did you two partner to bring that to life?
It’s not every day you get to collaborate with one of your best friends. When Pfister asked Evan and me if we could design a mudroom showcasing three of their faucets with dogs as the inspiration, we jumped at the opportunity! We are dog people — Evan has two precious pups, and I’m the proud mother of three. We put our heads together and created three vignettes: a farm sink station, a dog wash station, and a dog treat/feeding station. Your NativeStone Ventana sink was perfect because we had such a small space for it, and I wanted it to be a farm sink.

What did you see at KBIS that most excited you for the kitchen and bath?
So much concrete. It adds such a cool texture and organic feel to spaces. I’m excited to use more concrete products, especially Native Trails. I also saw a lot of organic shapes and textures, which I was really vibing with. And fun colors. These days I typically design in neutrals, but in the past I was doing a lot of color. It’s really fun to see all these colors coming into play.
Yes, there are design trends, but going forward, I think it’s going to be about showing your personality. If we do a colorful kitchen or bathroom, if it shows personality and quality products are used, it is going to be classic. Especially looking back through history — there are so many colorful rooms that feel very current, even when they date back to the 1800s.
