Where Craft Meets Story: Inspiration from the Voices Who Shape Design
From sculptural tubs to everyday rituals, designers share how Native Trails pieces infuse living spaces with authenticity and artistry.

Design inspiration comes in many forms: a tub that feels like sculpture, a sink that transforms ritual into luxury, a material that tells a story of its making. At Native Trails, this inspiration isn’t told by us—it’s revealed in the words of designers who continue to choose our pieces time and time again. “It has a traditional element to it,” says designer Leanne Ford, “but it also has a really understated feeling of modernism so it was exactly what we needed.”
Their voices remind us that true beauty is not static; it is present, felt, and lived.
1. “I want people to feel like they’re on vacation at home.”

Designer: Raubyn Rothschild | Product: Verona, Beachcomber Series
Designer Raubyn Rothschild sought to bring a sense of escape into daily life.
“The Murano sinks were perfect. Nothing I’ve seen looks closer to having a seashell in your house.”
2. Playfulness as Design Inspiration

Designer: Lindsie Davis of Blueberry Jones | Products: L, Maestro Sonata Petite in Antique; R, Verona, Bianco Series
Lindsie Davis of Blueberry Jones finds joy in weaving the unexpected into her work. Her instinctive connection to Native Trails is based on that and has shaped nearly all of her projects since that first moment of discovery.
“I saw one of y’all’s sinks and was like, ‘What is that? That is different, that is unique. Tell me about it.’ From that day on, I have used your products in almost all of my projects.”
3. A Centerpiece That Grounds

Designer: Whitney Ray of Wyeth Ray Interiors | Product: Avalon 62 in Slate
For designer Whitney Ray, the Avalon 62 tub transformed a Balinese-inspired retreat into a true sanctuary.
“This is different than a typical bathroom. The tub is sitting in the middle of the room, not up against a wall. It’s literally the centerpiece.”
The intention, Ray explains, was immersive: “They wanted you to feel truly like you were at a resort.”
For her, the choice was about fit: “Everything else just seemed almost too polished, too perfect. But when we stumbled upon the Native Trails tub, it really was the perfect fit. It pulled all the different components together.”
4. Longevity, Adaptability & Artistry

Across projects, designers return to Native Trails for the same reasons: longevity, adaptability, and artistry. As Leanne Ford puts it, “These Native Trails sinks have been my go-to for years now.”
For Hema Persad, it’s the character of the material that resonates. “That’s the beauty of a concrete sink. It’s never going to be perfect, so you don’t need to worry about it remaining pristine. That just adds to the beauty of it. Concrete is really so functional for a kitchen.”
5. The Power of Individuality

Designer Drew Scott captures the spirit of individuality that Native Trails pieces bring to a space: “Something needs to stand out. You never wow anybody by playing it safe or just doing the norm. Everybody wants their space to be unique, and that’s why we like that eclectic feel.”
Together, these voices reinforce a consistent truth: beauty is presence, not perfection.

6. Ritual Transformed

Designer: Lindsie Davis of Blueberry Jones | Product: Avalon 62 in Pearl
For Davis, one tub changed her relationship to ritual.
She admits: “I wasn’t a bathtub person. Now, I bathe every night. I was like, ‘This is the life.’ You made me a bathtub person.”
Powerful Inspiration
What makes this inspiration powerful is that it isn’t abstract or prescriptive. It’s lived. A sink that becomes ritual. A tub that makes someone a “bathtub person.” A material that feels authentic because it carries the story of how it was made.
At Native Trails, inspiration flows from the people who use our products, the designers who place them at the heart of spaces, and the artisans who bring them to life.
